Master Lock Bluetooth Lock Box |
The new generation of connected door locks can make you come
home and let you in with couple of touches on your mobile phone even after losing
your key or accidentally forgot to take the key with you when you go out. Yes!
No more being locked away from the house after forgetting your keys. If you
have lost the key or forgotten to take it with you when you leave home, you may
need to break the lock on your door when you return and it requires to change
the lock as well, which can easily become a multi-hour business.
If you are looking for a way to never be locked out of the
house again, the Master Lock Bluetooth Lock offers a solution that should be
easier to set up.
Easy access with a code |
The Master Lock Bluetooth Lock is designed to be installed
anywhere near your door, it is a wall-mounted closure box that you can use to
hold spare keys or home access cards. This way, when you forget your keys, you
can just open the box, grab the spare, and enjoy not being blocked out of the
house despite being annoyingly oblivious.
Do you think that you can hide the keys on a planter, on the
top of the door frame, even under a rock or somewhere else in the garden? None
of them, however, is really all that safe, since the most resourceful thieves
should be able to find them with a bit of looking around. The Master Lock will
not be prone to such hazards, as it is based on a secure lock to keep its
contents inaccessible, despite being in sight.
The Master Lock Bluetooth Lock Box can be opened by means of
an access code that is entered on the integrated keypad or by Bluetooth
confirmation, in which it receives an affirmative signal from the accompanying
application on your smart phone. It does not have NFC, so you cannot just shake
your phone, though - instead, you'll have to start the application and tap a
control to disable the lock. For other people to access the box, you can give
them an access code, which can be changed at any time, or give them access through
the application. In the latter, you simply have to install the application on
their phone, give it the authority to unlock the box, and can use it the same
way you use. Such access can be given with a time limitation or electronically
revoked at any time, making it ideal for giving people one-time access to your
home.
Master lock access via smart phone |
The Master lock box is powered with a standard coin battery
that is perfectly easy to replace, so there is no need to charge or plug it
into a wall outlet. Since it will be kept outside, everything is designed to be
weather resistant, so it must retain its usability through wind, rain and snow.
To ensure that the box is secure, it must be permanently
installed in an accessory outside the home (mounting hardware included in the
box), either directly next to the door, somewhere in the yard or directly at
the door. You will need to remove the drill and do some work to fix the lock
box. It comes with military-grade authentication and encryption, so Bluetooth
communication will not be so easy to hack.
The Bluetooth Master Lock box and similar products are now
